The last few days have not brought any clarity into the troubles at Stormpay. 12 DailyPro says they are not talking to them and are proceeding with a legal action.
Personally, I think that Stormpay will not recover from this. They have caused a lot of disturbance in the Internet community and the tendency I hear is that most people will be reducing their traffic through Stormpay as well as Paypal or even closing their accounts with these companies.
I belong to the first group, but I have a couple of alternatives which I will be using in the future. They all have affiliate or referral programs and offer or will be offering merchant solutions for website owners. Take a look at them and let me know if they could be of interest to you:
Greenzap:
Instead of going to the stock exchange, Greenzap just raised 2 million USD through their own member base. Of course the members who invested their money get a special deal on company stocks, but this certainly shows that members will have a say in how the company is run. They are giving each new member a 25$ bonus when they sign up. Charter membership for 100 USD for the first 5000 members is still running as far as I know.

X-Scape:
This one is a Debit Card with offshore account. It can be used for any purpose and has a safe messaging/e-mail system. I am testing this system at the moment. Safe transactions can also be done through mobile phones. Merchant tools will be coming as well.
There are various member levels with different investment levels, from Free to Platinum. A Gold member, for example, pays 199 USD a year. You earn on each sign up and through downline activities.
The website is being overhauled right now and the new one will be online in the next few days.

SafePaySolutions
This one offers a free sign up and offers a whole range of services which can be used to make your business life easier. They do accept MLM organisations and you can use their services for batch payments. They have merchant tools integrated and offer 3 different debit cards for members.
You earn through the referrals you make. This can be very lucrative, just read the referral link at the bottom of the page to find out more:

It certainly looks as though the Internet transaction business will be changing through this. I think this is nothing to be sad about. The more alternatives there are online, will prevent “the big boys” from monopolizing the market completely.
And with alternatives such as the ones above, we will at least be able to take a part of the profit on the usage of online transactions. Now that can’t be bad at all, can it?
